Alessandro Palladini

1999

He was born in Milan in 1938. He studied at the Drawing and Ceramics-School. He is the inventor and the leading figure of the "Mod-art", a new expressive art which uses various materials, such as acrylics, first-quality gold and coloured crystal-stones on cloths -cartoons, with the addition of cloths created by famous stylists (Valentino, Versace, Mila Shon, Leonard Paris, Lancetti, Hermes in particular and others). He has organized personal exhibitions in Paris, Barcelona and more times in Milan. He has taken part in reviews in Italy and Spain, obtaining a lot of prizes, among them: "The Town of Pavia" in 1978; "The Long Naviglio" in 1980 in Milan; "The Golden Eagle Prize" in 1981 in Rome; Epiphany and Ambrosian Academy in 1982 in Milan; "The prize of Saint Cross gallery in 1982 in Florence; the Golden Capital in 1983 in Rome; the High recognition of the European Parliament in 1984 and the artistic recognition of the Home Office in 1985 in Rome. His works of art stay in the Archbishopric of Milan, in various collections in Italy, France, Spain, USA and in permanence in the Eustachi Gallery in Milan.

With surprising fancy, Palladini rebuilds contents of immediate perception in an elegant and aesthetical vision. he blends the preciousness of the materials, traditional or not, in original and graphically unexceptionable wholes, skilfully equippede with draped cloths in orderly geometries. We have the impression that he wants to dress the space of the backgrounds, on which clear outlines of landscapes stand out, creating an unusual union between the pictorial art and the fashion, a no.forced union, but supported by the persuasion that the fashion is a form of art. With his style he links the old figurative concept to the modern expressive exigences, in a pictorial regenerated and vaguely tridimensional space.

Fancy and reality are, in my opinion, the most evident constant of the pictorial expression of a. Palladini who has opened an interesting exhibition at the Eustachi Gallery in Milan. Observing this numerous works of art in this review, it is possible to see as the psychology of the artist (rich in the absolutely necessary charge to finish every new work brilliantly), reveals itself through the glorification of the life that surrounds him; at the same time he feels as an integrant part of the nature itself that furnishes him the prevalent reasons of his painting. His works give the observer the impression of the particular, but also of the whole; immediately we understand he is an artist who works with a great engagement and seriouness and for this reason there a lot of people who esteem him.
