In consequence of the tragic events in Iraq that have involved ours Armed Forced, the organizing Committee of Vienna sul Lago has decided to suspend homonymous event foreseen for next November 15.The Commettee voices his solidarity and deep sorrow with the victims' relatives and to all belongings to the Armed Forced engaged in peace operations in foreign lands. Nevertheless, more to be a traditional artistic and cultural event, Vienna sul lago is also and above all an important charitable event. Thank to funds collected in the past editions, numerous concrete works, mentioning among so many, the foundation and the support Constantinian's Cross, association that carries on first aid services with their ambulances for Novara's 118 account. Consequently, in order to not compromise the programmed welfare plans, it's deemed opportune to fix a new date specified in the day of Sunday January 11, 2004

Vienna sul Lago isn't a commercial Ball, in fact it is organized by a Committee without no sake of gain, regularly established whose members give their own services free. For the seriousness of the initiative and organization, the manifestation has assumed features that clearly distinguish it from other similiar events which take place in Italy, making it particularly glamorous: in fact Vienna sul Lago is the only Ball which takes place under the High Patronage of the Mayor of the City of Vienna and also enjoys the glamorous Patronage of the Foreign Office, Ministry of Fine Arts and Cultural Activities
the Embassies of Austria to the Quirinal and the Holy See. The debs' partners have been the Cadets from Naval Academy in Livorno for eight editions. Vienna sul Lago is therefore the most important Debs' Ball in Italy and one of the most important in Europe
